# MASS TREE SAPLING PLANTATION

26.02.2022, SATURDAY

Jaihind Foundation, Perur and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University NSS students held a sapling planting Programme at Mangalamman Pathirakaliamman Temple on 26.02.2022 in Mukasimangalam area. In this, the students were enlightened about the environmental security and the needs of afforestation. The tree saplings are watered regularly and maintained by Jaihind Foundation.

# FARMERS TRAINING PROGRAMME-VERMICOMPOSTING

On 28.02.2022 Tamil Nadu Agricultural University NSS students and Vadivelampalayam Grama Samithi conducted a training on the procedure and manufacturing of earthworm compost. In this training the Mrs. Vijayalakshmi,Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension spoke on vermicompost production and its benefits in soil health.
